Last Summer when Briauna reached out to me about photographing her and Yashar's wedding at Buxton School in Williamstown, MA, where she's an alum, I was very excited. I had been shooting the graduations and alumni events at the private boarding high school for years and the campus is beautiful, as well as the creative and inclusive vibe among the students and faculty.
When I met up with them at the rehearsal dinner I was struck by what my wife called Briauna's classic beauty, and Yashar had a thoughtful gentleness about him. Their ceremony was in the Persian wedding tradition that centers around the beautiful and symbolic Sofreh Aghd (ceremony spread) with items like mirrors, candles, and sugar cones for sweetness, along with sharing honey with pinky fingers, burning wild rue (Esfand) for purification, and incorporating poetry as well as holy texts.
Their love for each other and their friends and family was a joy to capture, and I wish them many years of happiness to come! Congrats!

Happy New Year everyone!
I have decided to transfer my blog to my Zenfolio site host starting in 2026, and this is my first post!
Some of you may already know that last year I purchased a drone (DJI Mini4 Pro) and took and passed my FAA Part 107 test, and I am now a licensed pilot. With that the sky is the limit, or at least 400 feet above ground level or AGL, as that's the FAA's ceiling for drones to keep under unless prior permission is granted.
And while I intended primarily to use the drone for real estate still photos, I quickly discovered how useful and effective the drone's video capability was.
I wanted to share a few of the photos and videos from assignments as well as a couple of musings. I've just begun to really explore the capabilities of this drone and look forward to using this creative tool a lot in 2026.
Please subscribe to this new blog, more to come!

This is a pop-up video from a recent condo I photographed for Stratton Real Estate, showing the proximity to the mountain.

Southwestern Vermont Medical Center taken last fall with Mount Anthony and the former Southern Vermont College in the background.

SVMC campus with the view looking North.

I have been using this as a cover photo for my Facebook Page as well as a feature photo on my site, and plan to do more like this soon. Catching sunsets and being in position is trickier that it would seem, as by the time I see a good one forming and then get across town in time to launch is often too late to capture it.

The Mount Anthony Union High School students (seniors are in the bottom rows), which was also printed as a farewell gift for the out-going principle.
This is a flyover of the Bennington College commons from late Summer. The Canadian wildfire smoky haze is visible in the distance.
This last one is from a pop-up from my backyard, looking West to the setting Sun.
